Since opening its first program in 1975 McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association set out to be different. While operating its first group home, McMan’s founders provided care in the context of supportive and understanding relationships. The home and everyone in it was encouraged to live by the guiding values of trust, security, giving and acceptance.

The Women's Safe Haven provides protection and education for women and their children through interim housing, information, referrals, outreach and supportive counselling. We are a safe place women can meet, discuss issues, concerns. Our center also spreads public awareness on women's issues through workshops, public speaking and various community events held throughout the year.
Lookout Housing and Health Society
We serve 14 municipalities in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia: Vancouver, Victoria, Surrey, New Westminster, West Vancouver, North Vancouver (City and District), Burnaby, Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission and Maple Ridge. Including emergency and extreme weather shelters, Lookout houses more than 1,400 people each night. Lookouts multiple services include: 18 outreach teams, 2 community resource centres, medical and dental clinic, food bank, needle distribution and community cleanup, HIV and Hep C supports, 3 social enterprises, numerous peer and employment programs and youth counselling programs. These services collectively serve more than 2,500 people daily. Lookout provides non-judgmental, non-sectarian services to individuals coping with a wide variety of challenges including poverty, mental illness, substance use, trauma, mental and/or physical disabilities, chronic health illnesses, financial and legal issues or those simply unable to cope.
Youville Diabetes Centre
Youville Diabetes Centre is a self-management education and support centre in Treaty One Territory (Winnipeg, MB.) that provides one-on-one and group based day and evening appointments for people living with Diabetes. Youville Diabetes Centre also offers counselling, advocacy, support with service navigation, meeting basic needs (i.e. food), foot care and much more.
The Inn Out of the Cold
The Inn provides supplies such as shelter, hot meals, showers and clothing for up to 300 different individuals and families. Our program has expanded to serving men and women, some were needing warmth and shelter; others were needing clothing and personal items. All needed food.
Persons Living with Aids Network of Saskatchewan Inc.
The Saskatoon AIDS Network (PLWA) is a community-based, non-profit organization that provides support services for Persons Living with HIV-AIDS, their families, and partners. Our services include: Outreach Worker Nutritional Support Daily Lunches including fruit or vegetables Hot Meal every Monday (Monday Munchies) Tuesday Munchies and a Movie Multi-Vitamins Program One on One Support Counselling Peer and Professional Support Health and Wellness Guidance Socializing Activities Birthday Celebrations (cake) Advocacy/Referrals Drop-In Centre Emergency Care Fund and much more.
